Skin Problems

This is the story of a woman who successfully treated..

.. a severe skin problem in her dog with a regiment suggested by her holistic vet that included an alternative Dog Food mix. Her Airedale had suffered for nine years with severe skin problems and from conventional treatment methods that in some cases had her dog on the brink of death. She had tried everything in the book (and every book) and a slew of “premium” commercial dog foods and treatment methods before finding the right course of treatment. And now she has a 15 year old dog with a “healthy and lustrous” coat, that she says acts and looks younger than his age.

It seems almost like an epidemic is sweeping the country.
.. The common factor among all of these people with dogs with skin problems was that they were feeding a dog food that consisted mainly of cooked, processed, dry pet food. In my opinion, I think that in the coming years, we are more and more going to see the long-term effects that this type of dog food is having on the majority of pets in our country. Perhaps 50 years of feeding processed dry dog food to our pets is finally catching up with us. The good news is that many of these people have decided to give holistic dog food a try, along with other supplements, and we’re hearing back from many who are already showing signs that this condition is clearing up.

The reason that skin problems,..
.. which usually involves irritating rashes, lesions, constant scratching, hair loss and other dog health problems, respond so well to this type of treatment is that raw dog foods and natural dog supplements contain nutrients and antioxidents that detoxify the body. And the nutrients in raw dog food are easily absorbed into the body, while cooked dog food creates more waste that is stored up in the body — not to mention preservatives that can make the condition worse. Raw dog foods also promote a healthy amount of weight loss, which helps the body run more efficiently without the strain of carrying extra weight on the body.

Skin problems can be the result of years..
..of toxicity in the body, and can take a long time and a lot of patience to clear up. In fact, the author of the article had a dog that had been on steroids and it took a full 18 months before the condition fully cleared up and the dog’s body was fully detoxified. And this detoxification process can even sometimes cause the condition to seem worse initially before it gets better as the body begins to expel toxins from the body, in many cases through the skin. The transition process from a dry food to a raw dog food diet can also take a long time, and again a lot of patience. But we’re happy to hear back from people who tried it out, stuck with it, and now are finding that their dogs, who they once thought would never recover, are again leading happy, healthy lives.

PS: A Dawg says:” My Scratchbuster Treat, which is totally natural, really helps with this”
