Finally I have put up some pictures of the dog treat tasters we use.

Fine looking bunch they are too, and not too many extra New Year pounds on them after all the Christmas dog treat tasting.

Apart from being our dog treat tasters they are all Bouvier de Flandres, a fine breed.

Dog Allergies and Dog Food

Dawg has posted an updated article on Dog Allergies, and dog food.

Basically if food is over processed it can make it indigestible to some dogs, and this can show up as dry skin, runny tummies and the such like. Often changing to a better brand of food, one not based on using waste products generated by other parts of a multinational corporation, will sort things out.

The whole avoidance thing as some vets recommend, (no wheat, no corn, no red meat), can sometimes be just an easy way out of avoiding finding out what is causing the problem, and then solving it.

Read on! Dawg will be updating and adding to the Dawg library on a regular basis.

The new site went up a few hours ago and already it has had people searching for information on Kidney Disease in Dogs.

Dawg has searched high and low and the best, most comprehensive source of information is on the link in our link page.

There are pages of it, and references to all sorts of other articles but it really is worth clicking the link and slowly starting to find out all about kidney disease in dogs, if thats, sadly, is what you need to do.

New Dog Treat website

After years of faithful service the old Dawg’s dog treat website has been given a comfy, warm basket and allowed a peaceful retirement in the sun.

Here is the new one; a bit raw around the edges in places but soon will be in shape.

Any comments, ideas, observations and crits most welcome.

As humans most of what we think we taste is actually sensed by our nose, but what of dogs?

They have noses 200 times more sensitive than ours, so they must be able to taste everything.

And that means that if you feed them the same old stuff, however good, day after day, they will be bored with it.

Thats where Dawg’s treats come in. Excellent, tasty, not fed as a full meal, and given with love…your dog will be over the moon .
